Having 5 kids is an absolute blessing. Spending good quality time with all of them is a challenge. My mothers favorite word she taught us growing up was “BALANCE” and we wanted to make sure we taught our kids the same thing. Balance between work & play, home & away, sports & studies, family & friends, etc… ALL OF IT that makes life so much Fun & Special. We were constantly struggling with when and where and how we schedule cool things around constantly running the RAT RACE of life and chasing kids. Then we realized the SECRET, through the advice of a lot of older siblings, friends, aunts, uncles, parents, everyone always says they wish they would’ve spent more time with their kids. So we did it. We said lets take 1 year off from the RAT RACE and travel the country and go do and see things that we never will have time to do as a whole family running the RAT RACE.
